To know about the evolution of the NBA, you have to look back when it was invented. Basketball was invented in December 1891 in springfield by Dr. James Naismith. He establish the first rules. There were 13 rules that with time the rules were still there, but modified with the years. The rules have been changed a lot, and thanks to those changes we love basketball.

There may be rules of basketball that you might had never. For example, a successful goal was counted as one point, also one point was given to a team anytime three consecutive fouls were called on the opponent. The first original 11 teams of the NBA were: Boston Celtics, Chicago stags, Cleveland Rebels, Detroit Falcons, New York Knickerbocker, Philadelphia Warriors, Pittsburgh Ironmen, Providence Steamrollers, St Louis Bombers, Toronto Huskies and Washington Capitols. In today's NBA there are 30 teams. But those first 11 team they have changed. The Pittsburgh Ironmen , Providence Steamrollers, St Louis Bombers, Cleveland Rebels and Washington Capitols does not exist as a team in the NBA. In the 70s is center, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, he has 6 championships. In the 80s is point guard, Magic Johnson, he has 5 championships. In the 90s is shooting guard, Michael Jordan he has won 6 championships. In the 2000s is shooting guard, Kobe Bryant, he has won 5 championships. In the 2010s is Small Forward, Lebron James, he has won 3 championships.

The playing positions have changed over the years and eras. Point Guard in basketball their jobs to make the plays, organized their team and pass the ball, but they scored too. Now they shoot a lot of threes, the one who can throw, the only difference that this mid and late 2010 era, is the era of point guards. There are many types of point guard these days. We have Stephen Curry, Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul, ect.

But these Point guards play different. Stephen Curry is a point guard but he’s the best three point shooter, for the reason that he throws the ball to the basket a lot (he is not a ball hog).
