Mason Schropp February 9th, 2024 English 1st Hour Annotated List The Seven Greatest NBA Players of All-Time, Ranked Basketball is one of my favorite sports. I’ve played it, watched it, and studied it. When you think of basketball, you think of the NBA. It is the premier and most well-known basketball league in the world, without a doubt. The NBA is one of the most popular sports leagues of all time, and is supported by a rich history. Almost everyone has different opinions about who is the greatest to ever do it. I will rank the seven best players using stats (career and per game), and accolades (awards, rings). All of these players are consensus top 10-12 and that’s where my own personal opinion takes the lead as the biggest factor. What is the difference between a.. Kobe Bryant: Was there anybody with a better mental game than the “Black Mamba”? Kobe’s famous Mamba Mentality defined him throughout his entire career. In his own words, the Mamba Mentality was “to be able to constantly try to be the best version of yourself.” He averaged 25 PPG across a very long career of 1,346 games (16th all time). Kobe wasn’t the type of guy to set up his teammates like Magic, and while he did do that effectively, he is most impressive in the scoring department. He was also an elite defender, making 12 All-Defensive teams. He was a well rounded player who was elite in a couple categories, and an all time great. Unfortunately, Kobe and his daughter tragically died in a helicopter crash in 2020. Coming out of Lower Merion High School in 1996, Kobe was drafted by the Hornets, and then traded to the Lakers on the same night.
