In the past decade, there has been many debates over who the greatest player is in the game of basketball. Majority of the time they say Michael Jordan, but that changed when a basketball player straight out of HIgh School entered the NBA in 1996. That player’s name is Kobe Bryant. Bryant shocked the world with his skills and scoring abilities and at such a young age he was already named “the next Michael Jordan”. He even got to play with Michael Jordan in his early years and they do play very similar. After Michael Jordan retired, Kobe had already won 5 championships with the Los Angeles Lakers and that's when the Michael Jordan vs. Kobe Bryant debates really started to get interesting. They already shot the same, had the same moves and techniques but what defines them individually? What makes either of these players the greatest? Kobe Bryant to score 32,310 points, placing him third on the all-time scoring list which is an incredible achievement- passing Michael Jordan. Bryant has long been the NBA's most explosive scorer, and that longevity has been rewarded in the record books. He still has good years ahead, as well, thanks in part to entering the league at age 18. As well as to calculate who the better player is. This project is to help determine who the better basketball player is which is adhered through their career stats or opinion by people. The type of data that is going to be collected are the overall career stats from both players. Also, a survey consisting of 40 random kids.
Hypothesis: The best player out of the two will be determined by a person’s opinion rather than career stats based off different types of data
