Natural leaders can come in many shapes and sizes. Many natural leaders have come and gone through the generation. There have been people who won wars for their countries, and people who lead a team to a championship. In the sport of basketball debatably the best natural leader happens to be Kobe Bryant, who had just retired this year. Kobe was so good at basketball, that he didn’t even go to college. He skipped a whole level of the sport, and immediately got drafted by the NBA. When he was a rookie, at the tender age of 17, he would not let himself be subdued, instead he went on the court and dominated. That performance rallied all of his teammates behind him, so he his team to the playoffs, but fell short of winning the championship. The next year he broke his hand, but when he came back he was voted on to the all star team. In that same year, he became the youngest player to win defensive player of the year. In his third year of his career, he received many awards that even the most prominent players during that time couldn’t get. He again led his team deep into the playoffs, but fell short again. Kobe ended up leading his team into the playoffs with historic numbers, but this time he actually won the national championship. The next year he again produced record breaking numbers, and again he lead his team to a consecutive championship. In 2003 Kobe won yet another championship, by know Kobe as known as a dominant force in the NBA, and a leader of his team. That year he received an all star awards, and many other rewards.
