In this book Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde By Robert Louis Stevenson, Robert talks about throughout the story the duality in people and that everybody has a duality of themselves and one day that will come back and will take over their body. I believe that everybody has another side to them and they should just in brace it before it gets stronger and you won't be able to control it. Like in the shadow by Jung this kid kept his anger in his "backpack" and one day it will get so big that it will just explode and he won't able to control his anger. And in the shadow it also explained that everyone has another side of them but they are afraid to show it and once that other side will overcome them. Like some people show different personalities from school and home at school you can be a nice person but at home or in public you are a completely different person. In the book Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde there are many quotes that have to involve about the duality of people and how they don't show it. Stevenson believes that everybody has two sides in them is this quote. According to The strange case of Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde, "that man is not truly one, but truly two (PDF 74)". I think this means that even if you think that people only have one side in them they will always have another side in them. Like I think that people will show you different side in them when they are in sight or in public but when they are at home they act very different from public. Like some of my friends act different from school when they are at home. Robert L. Stevenson might have experience the duality in humans himself or he might have notice the duality in other people like his friends or his family. When the other side of them controls them I think that they will just go crazy and that's how some people got to a mental hospital or they will just have a mental breakdown. Which is sad to watch someone go through
