When Robert Louis Stevenson was woken from a nightmare, he said to his wife, "Why did you wake me? I was dreaming a fine, bogey tale." Good thing he was woken, because if he wasn't, he might not have gone on to write his bestseller, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The idea was so thought provoking that Stevenson went on to write it all down and have it published. Because of this, it must be considered a classic. The main reasons for this are because it resonates with the reader, withstands the test of time, and has a strong theme. It resonates with readers in that it leaves them contemplating the strong and mysterious plot, the suspicious characters, and most importantly the theme of good vs bad.
