His Legacy Lives On
A boy and his older brother run down to a familiar store over at the end of their store to get some groceries for their mother. Let’s call the older son Noah and the younger one James. At the counter, the well-known store clerk, Eric, jokes about how fast Eric runs. Police officers begin to run around the corner looking for the man they saw running around the corner. They shot the first person they see a teenage black boy named Eric. Fast forward 53 years and when you look at things they’re just about the same. It 's as if the human race is taking little steps to get better. There’s nothing wrong with that, except that now we are starting to lose hope. Dr. King once said, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” But in order to fully

King dedicated his life to using nonviolent methods to help for the advancement of colored people. Dr. King did a lot to of things to get black people right where we are today. He wasn’t scared to share his ideas or dreams no matter the cost. In fact, on many occasions, he was sent to jail for standing up what he thought was right. But Dr. King 's legacy of nonviolence and standing up for what was right had a huge positive effect on not just America but worldwide. Many know of Dr. King because of his famous speech, “I have A Dream”. Dr. King’s speech brought greater attention to the civil rights movement, it also brought the message of non-violence worldwide, and it made the congress move faster to sign the Civil Rights Act. Life nowadays has made some improvements but, Martin would be pretty disappointed to see what 's going on in the world right know. Somehow Dr. King used his abilities to somewhat unite America. It seems that America could really use some of that right now which is why it is very important to use Dr. King 's legacy in our daily lives for the better of
