Dress Codes Persuasive Speech

Women all around America have been arguing about the dress code for many years. Dress codes can range from shorts that go above your fingertips, crop tops, ( belly shirts,) cleavage showing shirts, and/or tight leggings that show a lot more than they’re supposed to. Vulgar or violent t-shirts, baggy pants, no shirt/sleeveless shirts and other things. I’m definitely for many types of dress codes, but some of them are just a little too over the top. Girls have been ranting on social medias about how “stupid” dress codes are and how they should be banned. “I” am not your typical girl. I think dress codes are great! It can change how people look at you because it might show that you need attention, you can make teachers feel uncomfortable, and you lose self respect and respect from others. After reading this, some girls might think that at the end of the day and it’s their body and they can do what they want OR dress codes are because boys can’t control themselves. No, it’s actually not because boys can’t control themselves. It’s because you can’t control how much cleavage is popping out of your shirt. I had a friend and she called out one of my male teachers for looking down her shirt when her boobs were clearly, well, out there. I’m sick of women blaming men for everything. How about taking responsibility for your actions and not wear such a revealing top and maybe people wouldn’t look at you. The reason I take this topic so seriously is because girls all around America are shaming boys for looking at what they wear. YOU chose to wear that specific article of clothing, not them. Shaming the boys needs to stop. Women need to stop taking away privileges from boys because they CAN control themselves, believe it or not.
