1. Who is the primary audience for the brochure? Using Redish 's model above, describe the possible characteristics of the intended audience.
The target audience for this brochure is young adults, focussing particular on females. It is assumed that the target audience has basic knowledge about the topic and is most likely to respond to visual elements rather than a lot of text.

2. Will it interest the readers? The information that presented in the brochure should match the interest of the readers. What it is that might catch the attention of the intended audience. The brochure should answer what the audience needs. What is useful/not useful?

Does it encourage the reader to seek further information? Good brochures make the reader want more information, so are there contact details, websites, email addresses? Are these easy to find?
Phone numbers to helplines are present on the brochure but more details such as websites are needed.

5. Does this brochure show its intended audience that it understands their needs, their perspectives or their attitudes to the subject matter? What techniques does it use or attempt to use? Are they successful?
The brochure clearly targets its target audience of young adults who like to party. It shows that is has an understanding for their attitudes towards the subject but emphasising that drug rape is not the victims fault and that it is in fact a crime.

6. How might you tell if this brochure is meeting its target? Using the sample audience survey discussed in the lecture pod, how might this be used to measure the audience impact? What other suggested methods of audience analysis discussed above might you use?
By utilising surveys and questionnaires you can get a deeper understanding of how the audience reacts and interprets the information. Focus groups could also be used to see feedback from the audience.
