If during the Holocaust the United States Constitution applied to every country then some of the tragedies would have not happened. The United States Constitution is important because if the citizens of the U.S. were not protected with their basic rights we would live in a dictatorship. One of the amendments that could have prevented some of the Holocaust’s nightmares is amendment 1; freedom of religion. If the Jews during this time had been able to practice freedom of religion, basically the whole Holocaust would not have started. Freedom of religion means to be able to practice whatever religion you want while not being judged or prevented from practicing the religion.
