President Dwight D. Eisenhower had been sending U2 spy planes over the USSR since 1956, but in 1960 one of his planes got shot down while flying over the Soviet Union. Dwight D. Eisenhower was born on October 14, 1890, in Denison, Texas. His parents, David Jacob Eisenhower and Ida Stover Eisenhower.
