Title and Author: Hondo by Louis L’amour Setting: The main setting is in the arid country in Arizona. The book explains how it is really dry with not a lot of vegetation. There are spots with water, trees, thick grass, or all of them, but usually it is dry with a bush or cactus here or there. The book never explains when it is but using context clues I would say around the 1980s. Main Characters:

He was one of the best spies the united states had had at the time. He could hire other people to do his spying instead of risking his own life, but he did it all by himself.

In A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams, Stella Kowalski’s sister Blanche came to visit her in Elysian Fields and she found a man in who caught her attention. The central idea of the passage was Blanche’s overwhelming love and feelings towards Mitch, the man whom she just met in New Orleans. The author’s use of dialogue between Stella and Blanche in Scene Five of the play emphasized the love that Blanche had for Mitch and the moral support in which she received from Stella. Blanche had significant feelings for Mitch and she was discussing them with Stella when they were trapped inside of her head. In the dialogue the author includes between the two characters, Blanche says “I don't know why I screamed!
Additionally, Gladwell describes problems in society in the early 1890s that outliers discover solutions toward. The author uses Louis and Regina Borgenicht as an example, demonstrating that when they relocated to New York from Poland, Louis had to find a job that would have favorable pay(,) to raise children (Gladwell 139-140).. Mr. Borgenicht, one day while walking the streets, had found a dispute that the people of New York were having. He observed that clothing was an issue for middle class families, and was determined to resolve this predicament . Louis and Regina sewed all night long making clothes, that Louis would then go to the streets and sell before noon.
In the article “Shitty First Drafts” by Anne Lemott she discusses how every writer has difficulty putting their ideas on paper because writing should be seen as a process that even the best and famous writers follow. She also talks about how even the best writers don’t just come with ideas and just begin writing on paper and make it as their final draft. Lemott also points out the importance of being able to just write down every thought into the first draft regardless of the structure of the draft and how it makes it easier to start the second draft. After writing the second draft it makes the final draft a review of punctuation and grammar corrections. As a food reviewer she struggled putting her ideas together because she would start doubting
A classic pairing of prune, Armagnac, and hazelnut doesn’t seem too classic does it? By looking deeper into these components you will find that they all originate from Southwest France. So many times, we as consumers don’t know anything about the ingredients that we are eating in enjoyable desserts. It is often assumed that some flavors go well together just because they are classic pairings and are well known.
Witness/Narrative: Joan of Arc In 1430 I was called a living Saint, now I’m called schizophrenic. But you can call me Joan of Arc. At age 13 I began to hear the voice of God in my head telling me to crown Charles VII, the heir of France.
“Le Chat” by Charles Baudelaire is from the fascinating collection “Les Fleurs du Mal”, published in 1857. “Le Chat” is an erotic poem, which portrays the image of the cat in a complimentary manner. The cat is an ambivalent figure and is compared to a treasured woman. The poem contains two quatrains and two tercets but cannot be called a sonnet due to the alternation between decasyllable and octosyllable lines and not Alexandrian. Baudelaire does not adhere to the traditional rhyming scheme, which therefore makes it irregular.
“Mise Eire” Bringing Women into the World of Poetry Eavan Boland is known for her poetry being controversial. The subjects of her poems, most notably “Anorexia” and “In His Own Image,” were not wildly discussed at the time of their publication, and Boland believed that this wasn’t right. Most of her poems were brash in their own ways, with no hidden meanings behind her words, and are meant for discussion. “Mise Eire” also has an important role to play in these discussions; in it, Boland is pulling women out of the mythical land that they’ve been placed in for generations and put back into reality. Women are underrepresented in Irish poetry, and the ones that do make an appearance become mythical creatures, such as maidens with extreme
Champagnes from California commonly use the similar varieties in blending their wines, whilst those from New York are often from the pressings of Catawba and Delaware type of grapes. Good champagne is generally pricey not only because it is made with the finest grapes, but also considering that it is made by the method champenoise. This conventional process entails a 2nd fermentation in the bottle as well as several manual procedures. Champagnes may vary in color from pale gold to apricot blush. Their aromatics can vary from
This method which uses an internal standard and flame ionisation detector, is exact and more specific than methods usually used. The gas-liquid chromatography method determines ethanol clearly and separately from the other beverage components that would have interfered in other methods, without any distillation or need for a chemical reaction. Determination of ethanol is one of the most vital routine analysis in a current winery. This method provides frequent, rapid and accurate results are needed to regulate the quality of the wine from grape to bottle, as well as for state and federal government
