A father should be there for their kids. It should be their job to understand, care, and love them. A father should make the best decision for their kid even if it means losing them. No matter the consequences a father must do what they think is right. Mark Haddon the curious incident of the dog in the night follows Ed Boone and his son Christopher who suffers from Asperger’s. Ed Boon is the best suited to take care of Christopher. He has invested his life into looking after and getting to understand his autistic son. Ed understand his some better than anyone else he as adapted his entire life around his son and his disability. Ed Boone is the most loving and caring person towards Christophe, he has done everything in his power to make sure Christopher was taken care of during stressful part of his life. Throughout his life he has tried his best to help Christopher get though his life with his disability. The only reason he doesn't give up is his unconditional love for his son. “ I love you very much Christopher... and I said yes because love someone is helping them when they're in trouble” (pg 87); Christopher acknowledge the fact that his dad love and cares for him. Ed Boon care for his son, even after a fight he try his best to make sure his son is happy and healthy. Throughout the novel Ed Boone was trying to care and love for his son as best as he could. His unconditional love for his son make him one of the best father that a so with those specific conditions. Whose love and care for Christopher helped him become an independent person. Ed Boone is the best father for Christopher because he was always there for him. He should be forgiven for his mistakes because he was only trying to protect and help his son. He only had Christopher's best intentions in mind. Christopher is the person he is because of his father care and love for him. Ed Boone is a good father whose intentions are always good at heart. However his father is only human so he makes mistake but this does not take away from the fact that he is the best father for Christopher.
