Edgar Allan Poe, is famously known for creating horrific stories and poems during Romanticism. His stories were extremely different and controversial for the time he had lived in. Differ from King his influences was not from other works of literature, simply because there were no works of horror. Poe created his own new genre that explored the mind and always had a deeper meaning, than just a dark tale. In “The Fall of the House of Usher”, he wrote about how the mind cannot work without the body. He did this by creating two characters, who lived in an old run down mansion.
