Education is a catalyst for positive change. As a teacher, I shape and mold the lives of my students and, consequently, influence how they interact with their surrounding world. Every student should be recognized and revered as a unique learner with unlimited potential. The establishment of the classroom as a safe place of discovery, excitement, and growth positively impacts students’ self-esteem. Through ongoing and consistent assessments, an educator can individualize instruction to meet the needs of her students. Because learning is not limited to the classroom, it is pertinent to a student’s success that teachers form a positive relationship with parents.
The dedication of establishing and maintaining a safe classroom atmosphere is paramount to the success of all students. When an educator genuine interest in well-being of of the students, she sets the tone of the classroom with her voice, smile, and attitude. After equipping students with a firm foundation of skills, the teacher becomes a guide that leads students towards their goals while gradually removing supports.
