Throughout the years, classic horror films have been adapted to modern days; moreover, vampires live forever, but they have evolved. The classic scary, but intriguing vampires who prey on humans to drink their blood have now become likeable and attractive vampires who protect humans. The classic Dracula and the modern Edward Cullen will be compared based on their creation, personality, and their supernatural aspects. Edward Cullen and Dracula are creatures that are considered to be thrilling and exciting creations. Dracula is a major figure that was inspired by Bram Stoker’s novel Dracula. The novel was encouraged by Vlad the Impaler; he was an immoral ruler during his time. Unlike Dracula, the character of Edward Cullen was inspired by a dream; moreover, he was designed as perfect to protect and be different. Dracula is a villainous vampire that was created to be intimidating and meet the standards of old legends that portray vampires as the work of the devil. On the other hand, Edward Cullen was created as a beautiful creature who sees himself as a monster. Dracula has many supernatural abilities; however, since he is a very old vampire, he also has many weaknesses. Dracula is a shapeshifter who has to sleep all day because once the sun hits his skin it injures him. With that said, Edward Cullen does not sleep at all and cannot shapeshift; moreover, when the sun hits his skin he sparkles and shines just like a diamond. Edward can eat garlic and see the crosses and nothing will happen to him, while Dracula will get extremely hurt by these objects. Dracula has the ability to disappear and reappear in other places; moreover, Edward Cullen is unable to do that. Edward Cullen has a better chance of surviving because of his supernatural
