Nutritious food is the battery pack of the body. In The Cowboy's Home on Wheels, Charles Goodnight, a rancher, desperately needed cowboys to work his cattle drives. Goodnight decided instead of offering high wages he could offer warm meals to his workers. Goodnight invented a mobile kitchen, now called the chuck wagon, which successfully attracted workers and allowed them to perform to the best of their abilities. In The U-S-U Range, the singer describes how difficult life is as a cowboy on U-S-U Range. The singer expresses that the food provided for the cowboys was unappetizing and did not allow them to work to the best of their abilities.
