Trauma due to combat is common with soldiers who come home and once situated reflect on their experiences. Being in the line of fire and losing comrades in battle was their reality, a reality that endured some of the most brutal forms of warfare. They were sent to fight away from home for months, even years at a time, and undergo a series of terrible physical and emotional experiences. It’s no wonder that they are emotionally and psychologically incapable of processing these experiences as anything but natural.
