Insulet Corporation is a medical device company specializing in diabetes management.
Founded in 2000, Insulet is headquartered in Massachusetts with offices across the United States,

According to Russell & Bernard (2016), “Enterprise resource planning (ERP) is software that organizes and manages a company’s business processes by sharing information across functional areas.” Insulet uses Pilgrim Software’s SmartSolve® Enterprise Compliance and
Quality Management (ECQM) solution to support its regulatory compliance and quality management processes. Insulet is also rolling out TestTrack software for product testing to monitor bugs and fixes.

The United States Food and Drug Administration (FSA) classifies medical products in three categories. Russell & Bernard (2016) explain, “For teams to be effective, they must know what their purpose and roles are relative to the company’s goals, as well as the extent of their empowerment, have the skills and training necessary to achieve their goals, and possess the ability to work together as a team.”
