REVENANTS is a proposed, new one-hour supernatural, dramatic TV series. The series presents like a detective series, in which each week the protagonist will investigate new cases. While these cases are closed ended, the series also appears to have continuing storyline format. While private eye/detective series are not new to the industry, this series may stand out given the hook that the central anti-hero, Lucas is immortal. It’s a new twist for a tried and true formula. Make sure to show their depth, as characters. Highlight the hero vs. foe conflict for the show. Right now, the treatment doesn’t go into enough depth regarding the characters. The audience doesn’t understand the relationship between characters, like Lucas and his son; Lucas and his girlfriend; and Lucas and his adversaries. Make sure Lucas is defined as a very active hero. In the marketability section, it’s good to identify the demographics and to highlight successful series. The X-Files is a series one might include to show it’s long-running success and the potential of this series. The future episodes tend to have a repeated theme about missing people: In The Ten Commandments: the wife is missing; In Through the Looking Glass, the husband is missing (it’s nice how Jason is used in this episode); in White is Black and Black is White, four sons are missing; and In The Carrier, several children are missing. This does make the series feel repetitive. If Lucas were an investigator, who tracks down missing people than clarify this and the first show would have to involve someone
