The quote “To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment” by Ralph Waldo Emerson, can be lived by many people in the world. For example Albert Einstein, Martin Luther King Jr. and Haley Schmutz all live by this quote. Albert Einstein lived by the quote “ To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment” by Ralph Waldo Emerson because was a different thinker. Einstein was a different kind of thinker than others because thinking outside the box was one of him many differences than others.(Anderson 23). Einstein became a physicist and started to live outside of society.( After having the attention of just one physicist, one of the most influential physicist of his time, Einstein began to change into a much more unique person. Einstein changed the way he looked at the world and science and did everything differently than others. Because Einstein changed his way of thinking and looking at the world he became a better scientist who thought differently than others to make the world a better place. Haley Schmutz said “Albert Einstein lived different from others because he was crazy and looked at things differently and thought differently than others.(Direct Quote). Schmutz was asked “Would you let the world change you?” Schmutz answered “I would not let the world change who I am. I am who I am and I like me.” (Direct Quote). Meaning that she would always be herself even if the world tried to change her.
