“An hourglass? What’s so important about an hourglass?” Eleanor questions, pinning her last piece of hair in place. “Weren’t you listening to Felicity? She said the hourglass is magical, that it can go backwards or forwards in time depending on which way the sand is falling,” Walker informs. Eleanor makes a questioning sound. “Are you sure we should be giving power like that to Felicity?” “Well, she hasn’t given us any reason to believe that she’ll use the hourglass for bad,” Walker says. “She also hasn’t given us any reason to believe that she’ll use it for good,” Eleanor counters, stepping out of the bathroom. “So what’s the plan?” “What do you mean?” “Well, I can pass as fifteen year old if I really try. You on the other hand, I’m surprised people believe you when you say you’re eighteen. We can’t pretend to be a date, nor parent and child. She isn’t thinking clearly, but she hopes that’ll get more information out of this man about her mother. “She died before I could meet her sadly.” Eleanor can feel Walker glaring at her, but she ignores him. This opportunity it too good to pass up. “I didn’t know Alice had a sibling,” Allen says, and that would be true, Alice was an only child; but the truth can be twisted a little if need be. “She had a younger sister, my mother.” Digging a hole deeper and deeper, Eleanor knows there’s no turning back now. The three turn when Allen’s name is called. A women from the group waves him over and he raises a single finger to signal he’ll be over in a minute. “Well, it’s been a pleasure to meet you Liam and Delilah,” he concludes and gives them a shallow bow. “I hope I’ll be seeing you two around.” Once gone, Walker turns to Eleanor, fury masking his face. “What were you thinking,
