Elie Wiesel made a speech called, "The Perils of Indifference." In which he believes that indifference is evil. Elie Wiesel is correct that indifference is corrupt because it makes people not care, and it makes other people suffer.

Indifference makes people not care about something or someone. In Elie Wiesel's speech called, "The Perils of Indifference", he articulated, "Sixty years ago, its human cargo -- maybe 1,000 Jews -- was turned to Nazi Germany." Once President Roosevelt attention was toward the Jews, he sent the boat full of 1,000 Jews (which he didn't care about it) and sent them back. According to Elie Wiesel's speech called, "The Perils of Indifference", he explains, "it has been suggested, and it was documented, that the Wehrmacht could not have conducted its invasion of France without oil obtained from American sources." Since America's corporations continued doing business with Germany because they didn't care, it caused many people from France being killed or separated from their families. Also, according to Elie Wiesel's speech called, "The Perils of Indifference", he states, "wrapped in their torn blankets, they would sit or lie on the ground, staring vacantly into space, unaware of who or where they were, strangers of their surroundings." Since many other countries didn't care about what was going on in Germany, many Jews who they called Muselmanner died. The Muselmanner died from things that they couldn't fix, but other people could. If people cared about what was going on in Germany, many would fight against them. In conclusion, indifference can make people be corrupt.

Some people think if indifference was evil, then they wouldn't be doing it. However, according to Elie Wiesel's speech called, "The Perils of Indifference," he set forth, "every minute one of them dies of disease, violence, famine. Some of them -- some many of them -- could be saved." If people didn't show indifference towards matters that they could handle, it causes innocent people to die. People from all around the world are dying on things
