For example, in an article that discusses who killed the Black Dahlia, the author states “ the book suggests that Dilon committed the crime at the request of nightclub owner Mark Hansen, whose sexual advances short had reportedly rebuffed. According to Eatwell, the crime took place at the local Aster Motel, where she says the owner found one of his rooms covered in blood and fecal matter the day following her murder-but having had domestic abuse trouble himself with the police, chose to clean it up rather than report it” (Pruitt). This piece of evidence demonstrates that an expert was hired to look into the handwritten letter that was sent in and as that expert decoded the letter it is safe to assume it was George Hodel who murdered Elizabeth Short. In an article about further information on the death of Elizabeth Short, the author states “ Kay agrees that Dr. Hodelwas also behind the 1947 murder of a young nurse named Jeanne. According to the handwriting expert, that writing also looks like George Hodel’s”... along with the information given about George Hodel telling a friend “suppose I did kill the Black Dahlia'' put into a transcript summary by that friend “they couldn’t prove it now” (Murr). From this, the reader can see that not only is Goerge Hodel putting him into a position of incriminating himself but it also shows that he could have been the killer of a previous murder from a few years back. Based on the evidence presented the reader can see that George Hodel is most likely to be the killer of Elizabeth Short. Previous evidence about his handwriting and several statements were
