Did you know that during the Elizabethan Era, there were many foods and recipes they made in their time? The types of foods they had were hogs, spices, and they even had wine. In this story you will learn the types of food they ate, how many times they ate on a daily basis, how they processed their food, and what was Queen Elizabeth’s favorite food .
During Queen Elizabeth’s reign, she was served many types of food; however, one of her most favorite dishes was meat. She had many different dishes that she enjoyed, but meat was her favorite. Queen Elizabeth ate other foods as well. She ate porches of fruits, breads, and many other good, tasty foods.

These were the only three meals they ate on a regular basis. As far as breakfast, it was served between the hours of 6-7. Also dinner was served between the hours of 12-2 and supper was served between the hours of 6-7 and had different entertainment for the people.
The food during Elizabethan Times was changing. They had many different recipes that they used for their food. New foods such as tomato, potato, and the turkey were being introduced to the world. They used many spices as well. Chilli peppers of the Capsicum family including Red peppers, Cayenne, Paprika and chilli were imported from the New World.
There were so many ways they prepared their food. It was processed a certain way as well. The Elizabethan food was processed in many different ways. They had many combinations they could have prepared their foods and recipes. They prepared things like; for example, spit roasting, baking, boiling, and smoking, salting, and frying their foods.
