Elvis Aaron Presley and his twin brother Jesse Garon Presley were born on January 8, 1935 at 4:35 in a two room house in Tupelo, Mississippi. First, Jessie, a stillborn baby. Next, Elvis Aaron, born a healthy baby to Gladys and Vernon Presley. Elvis was born after his father, Vernon Elvis Presley. Elvis’s family lived close by in Tupelo, Mississippi. He grew up with his parents, grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles around. Elvis’s mother and father had very little money but they did their best to provide for Elvis. Elvis’s family attended the Assembly Of God Church where Elvis sang Gospel. Also, growing up to listening to Country music on the radio and listen to bluemen around the neighborhood. In 1946, for Elvis 11th birthday he received a guitar from the Tupelo Hardware Store. Elvis had hoped for something else like a bike or rifle. Through the following year he received guitar lessons from his two uncles, and the new pastor at the family Church. Elvis entered a new school, Milam, he brought his guitar to school on a daily basis. On March 5, 1960 elvis was discharged from army at 9:15 am. The train he was on took him from new Jersey to Tennessee so he could stop to see some of his fans. On may 1, 1967 Elvis and priscilla got married at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas.Their honeymoon was in palm springs. On may 29 another reception was held for family, and friends.
