In order to have a competitive advantage in the market, we will utilize a third party background check on all employees, mandate all new employees to have a pre-employee screening for motivation assessment, and layout specific certification requirements before they lay hands on a customer’s property.
(7.2.1) Emerald Coast Marine Electronics will require all employees to perform a thorough background check prior to recruiting. An information technology based company called GoodHire LLC, located in Redwood City, California will be used to perform the background checks. This company has a five star rating, and has been in operation since 2012. They have a discrepancy rate of less than one percent, and their turnaround time is only 24 hours for a background check report. They provide criminal records, driving records, identity, and credit reports. Their primary purpose is to provide employment screening to both large, and small businesses. Another recruiting tool that will give Emerald Coast Marine Electronics a competitive advantage is by utilizing Wonscore from Wonderlic. Wonscore provides a numerical value to an employee after they complete a short test either online, or through a mobile device. This score tells managers the predicting job performance, cognitive ability, motivation, and personality of the individual.
