ADI Lab How should the unknown organisms be classified? Using previous knowledge from tenth grade biology, we know the variation between plant and animal cells. The differences are within the organelles. Animal cells have centrioles, lysosomes.
Discussion 1. Zn0 (s)+ Cu2+S6+O42-(aq) →Cu0(s) + Zn2+S6+O42-(aq) Zn0(s) → Zn2+(aq) + 2e- Cu2+(aq) + 2e- → Cu0(s) Zn0(s) + Cu2+(aq) → Zn2+(aq) + Cu0(s) Oxidant (oxidizing agent) is the element which reduces in experiment.
1. Identify the range of senses involved in communication • Sight (visual communication), Touch (tactile communication), Taste, Hearing (auditory communication), Smell (olfactory communication) 2. Identify the limited range of wavelengths and named parts of the electromagnetic spectrum detected by humans and compare this range with those of THREE other named vertebrates and TWO named invertebrates. Figure 1: the electromagnetic spectrum source: www.ces.fau.edu Vertebrates Human Japanese Dace Fish Rattlesnake Zebra Finch Part of electromagnetic spectrum detected ROYGBV (visible light) detected by light sensitive cells in the eye called rods and cones.
The lab started off by measuring critical materials for the lab: the mass of an an empty 100 mL beaker, mass of beaker and copper chloride together(52.30 g), and the mass of three iron nails(2.73 g). The goal of this experiment is to determine the number of moles of copper and iron that would be produced in the reaction of iron and copper(II) chloride, the ratio of moles of iron to moles of copper, and the percent yield of copper produced. 2.00 grams of copper(II) chloride was added in the beaker to mix with 15 mL of distilled water. Then, three dry nails are placed in the copper(II) chloride solution for approximately 25 minutes. The three nails have to be scraped clean by sandpaper to make the surface of the nail shiny; if the nails are not clean, then some unknown substances might accidentally mix into the reaction and cause variations of the result.
Mr. Bates’ oxygen saturation is 94% so oxygen would be administered on 6 liters per minute via a Hudson mask. The patient oxygen saturation should be maintained at 95 % or above. If the oxygen saturation is not improving via Hudson mask then it would be replaced by non- rebreather masks on high flow oxygen, which delivers 100% oxygen concentration (NSW Health, 2012). Glyceryl Trinitrate (GTN): GTN Sublingual 300-600 mg or GTN Spray 400-800 mg is given if systolic blood pressure is greater than 90 mm of hg.
The individual breathes deeply during this time because heavy breaths of oxygen must be taken in for the lactic acid to be broken
Air Filters: Chevy Corvette, Cadillac STS, Chevy Silverado 1500 Your engine breathes just like you do, which means that it needs continuous clean air sent to it in order for you to get the best performance from it. The air filter is responsible for catching outside pollutants and other airborne contaminates and keep them from clogging up your engine. A clean air filter will keep dirt from getting into your engine and causing undo wear and tear on it.

Krakauer says that Dr. Mackenzie told the other doctors to give Ngawang acetazolamide, dexamethasone, and sublingual nifedipine to help stabilize his condition (Krakauer 113). After the drugs fail to work, Ngawang was placed on supplemental oxygen, which is oxygen in a tank that helps prevent oxygen sickness, and placed in a Gamow Bag, which is designed to create atmospheric pressure
Cell Respiration Lab Research Question What is the optimal temperature for germinating pea-seeds where the rate of respiration is the greatest? Background Information Cell Respiration refers to the biochemical process conducted by the cells of an organism that combines glucose and oxygen to produce energy in the form of ATP, along with two by-products, water and carbon dioxide. The equation representing this chemical reaction is shown below. C6H12O6 + 6 O2 6 CO2 + 6 H2O
So, what exactly does the Venus Immersion
One of the biggest threats to free divers is shallow water blackout. Shallow water blackout is when a diver is surfacing and becoming closer and closer to the surface, then their body shuts down, you become unconscious. This is also a reason why you should always dive with at least one partner; more is always better because if you do happen to blackout, then there are many people to help you out of the water. If you are in the unfortunate situation of diving alone however, it is vital that you take a lot of time between your
Oxygen will be delivered at 15L/min. This will continue until Steve has returned to a normal skin pigment, once positive change is noticed, the bag valve masked will then be operated manually. Th patient will receive 10 breaths per minute at a volume of 10ml/kg to mock the breathing style of an adult (Gregory & Mursell, Manual of Clinical Paramdic Procedures, 2010). Once the breathing is at a stable rate, the patient will then be reassessed to address any changes in the patient’s
INTRODUCTION A gas chromatograph (GC) can be utilized to analyze the contents of a sample quantitatively or in certain circumstances also qualitatively. In the case of preparative chromatography, a pure compound can be extracted from a mixture. The principle of gas chromatography can be explained as following: A micro syringe is used to inject a known volume of vaporous or liquid analyte into the head or entrance of a column whereby a stream of an inert gas acts a carrier (mobile phase). The column acts as a separator of individual or chemically similar components.
Ventilation of a person through various activities Camila Gonzalez. This lab was made with the aim of proof that making different activities can alternate the ventilation rate, also is to see the variation of work our respiration system makes. We can see the different things and situations that can affect the normal process of ventilation and respiration, like the weather and the clothes that were limitations for doing this experiment because first the weather was so hot, so the person get tired early and began to ventilate faster and second the clothes wasn't appropriate for making the activities, because they also make weight and makes that the person get more tired. We use more than one person to make a comparison of the ventilation
