Nike’s CSR Nike contributes to the society in many ways, it tries to minimize the environmental impact it makes from manufacturing its goods many of the ways include re cycling and new technologies that produce less byproducts, since Nike is such a big company that produces good in a very large quantity they produce a lot of byproducts but with their methods they can reduce the byproducts that are harmful to the environment by a large scale. Nike brought in a new invention that changed the art of dyeing fabric forever, this method is call Carbon dioxide color dying, using this new advance technology the company can now dye clothes and fabrics without using water but instead using recycled carbon dioxide. In the traditional way of fabric dying there are a lot of energy consumption when done in a large scale and also the toxic water gets released into the nearby stream. The method of using carbon dioxide to dye fabrics does not require heating up the water to a certain temperature as there are no water involved this reduce the energy consumption from heating up the water so not as much energy is wasted in the process but most importantly with this method there is no toxic water that is produced in the traditional method of dyeing fabric this helps reduce water pollution and improves waste control.
