Not far from Parliament Hill lies a massive building that looks more like a crystal palace than anything else. This is, in fact, the National Gallery of Canada, which houses nearly 65,000 pieces of art. Opened in 1988 and built out of granite and glass, the Gallery is known for its Canadian artworks, showing the rich history and cultures of Canada.
