Would you be able to adapt easily if you move to a different country that has a totally different culture and believes than what you used to? Well, I don’t think it is an easy task. People are that kind of species who like to live in one place and have stability. For me as an international student from Saudi Arabia, it was hard to move from a close culture to an open one. Adapting to the lifestyle of the United States took me a long time and solving the cultural shock problem needed several steps.

In my country, there are so many rules and traditions, and usually it applies to females more than males. Therefore, it was harder for me as a Saudi girl, used to stick to what people think and specific guidelines, to adjust to a very free and open culture.
