A hero doesn’t have to be Superman or Batman. A hero can be a homeless person or even a complete stranger. My opinion of a hero is a person who faces danger and overcome it, help someone or even themselves in a time of need, would die for someone, and sacrifice. To be a hero that mean you show that you care and have love for that person or persons. Johnny, Ponyboy, and Dally are all heroes they face danger overcome it and they all sacrificed something. These are some more examples on how these three brothers are heroes. Johnny was a hero a couple of times in the story. First he saved his brother Ponyboy from drowning. Now thats love. For one he takes care of his brothers. He did not have to if he did not want to. He quit football to care for them. He wanted to watch them he did not want them to be separated. All those things are sacrifices football, time, and he also sacrificed college. Dally helped whoever needed it. Such as he saved his brother Johnny when he was hurt in the fire, he pulled Johnny out which caused his self to get hurt. Then he knocked Ponyboy out. You would have to be a real hero to do something like that to someone you love. Dally was very brave. So he knocked his brother out so he would not inhale too much of the smoke from the burning church. Dally also put fire out of his brothers jacket. I would not have done it im scared of fire. Thats all I’m going to say about dally, because I can go all day about Dally. Dally is a real father figure. Being a father to someone elses kids is a sacrifice, bravery, and loving. He fits my definition of a hero, because he sacrificed, cared for strangers and family, loving to brothers and strangers, risked his life for a stranger and a brother, helped someone in a time of need. Dally is also a hero because he faced danger. Thats why Dally is considered a hero.
Anybody can be a hero. Such as Dally, Ponyboy, and Johnny. They sacrificed, faced danger, and showed bravery. It doesn’t matter what race, age, sex. or religious. It does not take much to be a hero. That's That's why Johnny, Ponyboy, and Dally are consided
