Slavery as you know is still a thing today. In different countries such as China, India, North Korea, Russia , Nigeria etc. As it is illegal, it is still going on today, just without the government's knowing. African Americans were most discriminated against even though they were many different races. They were used for different things also so much as plantation workers, in factory workers, working on farms etc. There are also different types of slavery that include sex trafficking, child labor, bonded labor etc, that has became more modern today. The institution of slavery has remained the same over time. Slavery has just expanded and became more modern as of today.
In the late 1400 through the mid 1800 by ship, slaves were being brought into america and mostly from africa. They were being brought in by ships from western africa to be used on the sugar plantations. “At the time of the American Revolution there was widespread support in the northern American colonies for prohibiting the importation of more slaves.”(Lewis 2017). The Trans-Atlantic expanded by coming up with a way to trade slaves and materials. The triangular trade route, which is a three way system of trade. We can tweet and at least get one person to be against slavery. Amnesty international sends letters on different topics to help people understand what is going on in the world and how we can put an end to it. We could also stop buying the things children are being slaved and forced to make. They are harvesting products like chocolate, electronics,clothing,diamonds etc. We should buy the fair trade chocolate instead of the chocolate that are made by them. This could help with people who are being slaves all around the world
