In the stories of the “The Yellow Wallpaper” and “The Story of an Hour” are about two women who want their own freedom. But during this time there were many Feminist views of women trying to come out, and make a difference for themselves. The women didn’t have much of a say in the community, because of how society was during that time period. The women start to discover the freedom they may have. So, in the story of “The Yellow Wallpaper” and “The Story of an Hour” the reasons the two stories are similar are, both the main characters want their freedom from their husband. Why, because each one wanted to live a life they haven’t experienced with all the freedom they can have. In both the stories the husband had a lot of control over what their wives did. She finally felt free from part of her life where she was always told what to do. The weak heart that Louise had played a key role throughout the story. But they believed she passed away from her loss of the independence she was about to receive.
