9/11 was perhaps the worst terrorist attack to ever occur in the history of the world. Terrorist attacks were very well coordinated and planned strategically. Just shy of 3,000 people lost their lives that day. An additional 6,000 were injured by the attacks. Entire buildings were demolished. Billions of dollars in damage occurred. The lives of millions of people were changed on that fateful, frightful September day. 9/11 was an awful event. But it was through that event that a revival swept the nation. Many Americans stepped in to help in any way that they could. Many also came to churches following the attacks, in order to pray and have a place to find refuge in the time of trouble. Congress united that day in order to sing “God Bless America”. There was a great sense of unity among the United States. 9/11 brought a revival to the country. …show more content…
We often associate a revival occurring among numerous people! A change is often seen in a group of people. Numerous people are given new life, given new insight, and given a new experience. Revival changes the lives of multiple people, all within a short timespan. In Psalms 85, a psalmist is asking God if He will bring about a revival within his people, that his people may again find joy in God. A very important point is to be had here. In order to be revived, one must first be living. A non-Christian cannot be revived because they must first be made living through Christ. But those that are living in God, yet have allowed their love and faith for God to grow cold, sometimes need a revival.
Nothing is easier than to just sit back and watch things happen, wishing that something could be done to bring change to something. It's something that many of us are guilty of. That being said, where does revival
