Alzheimer’s disease and Memory
Alzheimer’s is a form of dementia that slowly creates issues with the mind. Over time, memory deteriorates along with behavior and thinking. Those with it lose the ability to understand most things once they are in the later stages. It becomes more and more difficult the longer the person has it and it eventually causes death.
Alzheimer’s first creates small issues with short term memory. It starts with small problems, such as forgetting what they were talking about. It comes difficult to learn and process new things. The brains are starting to fail. Sometimes they’ll forget to turn the oven off or other small tasks in the beginning. While others forget these small tasks, it doesn’t have the same reasons behind it.
Alzheimer’s is a progressive disease, meaning it gets much worse at the end. While it beings with forgetting small things, it ends with not knowing their spouse of many years or their own children. The longer the person has Alzheimer’s, the worse it …show more content…

But some have early onset Alzheimer’s that starts at age 40. It isn’t just a disease for “old” people. Alzheimer’s makes life more and more difficult from the time the person is diagnosed. The brain cells are slowly destroyed.
Alzheimer’s disease begins when the brain cells begin to change. It prevents part of the cell factory from working properly. Once it starts somewhere, it becomes a chain reaction. Cells will lose their ability to perform properly, causing them to ultimately die. The brain is damaged from this, which causes the memory loss and other side effects. When we lose the nerve cells in our brain, everything becomes destroyed.
There is no cure for it. Once started, it will eventually lead to the loss of memory and ultimately death. Alzheimer’s affects everyone around it; from small families to a former president. Daily tasks become nearly impossible to do. Alzheimer’s destroys lives along with the
