The world’s wealth is above the Tropic of Cancer because of the geographical and material advantages that a country above would have compared to a country below the Tropic of Cancer. There are material goods abundant in countries above the Tropic of Cancer that the New Guineans can’t get their hands on. Along with the geographical advantages that makes the countries so advanced and wealthy where it’d make a country like New Guinea’s forest infested land barren and in other people’s opinions, uninhabitable if not familiar to it. Factories that inhabit America create and ship out material goods everyday, and the demand of material goods from people goes up, which makes more money in the long run, selling these goods, which bolsters America’s wealth, which paves the way for technological advancement, which improves America’s wealth even further, and bolsters the fact that countries above the Tropic of Cancer have more wealth than under. New Guineans have no need for material wealth, they have no factories, no goods to sell, they just hunt and gather for food, trade for other goods, and fetch water, they do enough to maintain a healthy life, but that’s about it, they don’t have the need to sustain an economy. Which means, their wealth gets lower and lower. The need for material goods, more often than not, dictates your wealth, in this case, one country had a great need for material goods, and one did not, which meant, one country’s wealth bolstered while one declines, because the country below the Tropic of Cancer had no need for material wealth or goods which meant they were receiving no money, which really dampened their wealth, and really pushed back their advancement in
