Brandon has to get used to that. Besides, he has supernatural abilities and in spite of that he is able to walk or run as he is in an animal or human body. What is more, he can fly during his green dreams and he is able to go wherever he wants. In contrary to other disabled characters in A Song of Ice and Fire, he should not complain about his life. Furthermore, he is discriminated by the inhabitants of Winterfell that might be caused by the fact that disability is often associated with a punishment from god for sins. Due to people’s disdain toward Brandon, he becomes cruel and indifferent in order not to be harmed again. As time goes on, the young Stark begins to accept his disability. When he abandons Winterfell, he matures and notices that self-pity will not do any good.
