The Cherokee Indians are unprotected due to their alliance with the British. This Alliance made it so that the Cherokee went against every other Indian tribe and needed to assimilate with the U.S. people to keep ⅓ of their land. The U.S. supreme court orders the army to protect the Cherokee, but Jackson decides against it. Well now every other Indian tribe dislikes them and then they have Georgia is trying to come into their land and take the rest.They are trying to make the Indians leave but they don’t have the rights for this the laws they are trying to use don’t fit in this scenario since the Indians don’t believe in these laws.
The Cherokee has their own laws because this is their land and the things that they believe should be the only things that are upheld in this area.The Cherokee has laws that fit their religion and that their ancestors have created. We the people of Georgia try to enforce their laws on Indian land, but this is incorrect because they had their own form of a constitution.
