Global issues are the challenges that affect everyone in the society whether directly or indirectly. They are normally classified as social, political, economic and environmental issues. These are issues that are present in every nation and have both positive and negative sides. It is seen that the magnitude of the effects of these issues could better be achieved if countries of the same class were compared for example China versus America Starting with environmental issues, both China and America are industrialized nations and have many processing and manufacturing industries and therefore they have very high rates of environmental pollution due to emissions and waste products. China’s steel industry is not as efficient as that of the US but on the other hand, its cement industry is much more efficient than that of the US ( Adams, 2003). The American government has three branches which are judiciary, legislative and the executive each of which has different responsibilities. The executive is headed by the president, the legislature is composed of the senate, the chambers of Congress and the House of Representatives. The judiciary is composed of the whole court system of the country. Political scholars though have discovered that in China, there would be loopholes that would lead to democracy and therefore it is not fully an authoritarian state.
