There are many differences in our government and an authoritarian government. An obvious difference, one which will not be explained, is the location of where these governments are used. But, there are less obvious differences, such as who is in power, how they gain power, and other things as well. Those will be explained in a much deeper form with much more detail.

First off, you have the people in power. For our government, the president is usually seen as the person with the most power. The president can do many things, such as know what the military has for the defense of America, repeal laws he sees as unfit, or even try to create new laws.
