In my opinion I prefer American government more than Finnish. Finland’s military is pretty similar to American military, but some things are different. Finland’s military consists of the Finnish Army, Finnish Navy, and Finnish Air Force, whereas America’s is made up of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard.

In Texas, the governor not only represents the 2nd largest state in the United States, but as well as the people that reside in Texas and performs a major responsibility as acting as people’s voice in office. The Texas Governor and the U.S president both have important responsibilities to ensure citizens well-being, but in comparison, each one has their limitations and conflicts. In this assignment, views from both sides, the Texas governor and the United States President, will be taken into account and be analyzed for their characteristics.
The first three men to be president built the foundations of America that made it into the country we see today. George Washington, John Adams, and Thomas Jefferson were the beginning of a great country built with hope, freedom, life, and liberty. Our first three presidents were essential to the making of this country. Washington, Adams, and Jefferson’s backgrounds, political views, and accomplishments, though different, lead to the making of a successful government and country. While Washington and Jefferson were born in Virginia, John Adams was born in Massachusetts.
The turmoil, upheaval, and controversy of the 2016 Trump election is a significant current event of the modern world, but this landslide election is not the first in America’s history to raise such conflicting opinions. The Revolution of 1800 was another shift in political history that impacted not only the candidates, but majority of the public. When they were still under the rule of England the colonists loyalties were to their states, not the king (Morone, 110). One choice we had was a unitary government. This is when the national government made all of the laws for the people and had all of the political authority (Morone, 110). Another option was confederation.
The American Revolution set the background for the modern nation state as well as molding the modern Army. Both countries have many differences and similarities, ranging from the individuals fighting these wars to tactics and strategies they used to win. These countries shared the same idea of freedom and independence, the difference is they used different methods of accomplishing this goal. It’s difficult to pin point which country chose the best method, but we compare some of the facts and take a deeper look as to what was transpiring in both of these Revolutions. In the 18th Century the main problem the Army had was manpower.
The other part of the puzzle consists of the Executive branch of government. This branch consists of the Prime Minister and the Cabinet. The Prime Minister runs the Cabinet; he/she controls the ministerial appointments (Parl., 2012). Being responsible for government policy, it is crucial for the Cabinet to have confidence of the House of Commons (Parl., 2012). Not everyone can be a part of Cabinet, so the Ministers who are chosen by the Prime Minister are “Members of House of Commons… and at least one Senator… who serves as the Leader of the Government in the Upper house (Parl., 2012).

The United States Government can be described in two ways. There is unified government, which appears when the President and both houses of congress share the same party. Divided government is the opposite, it occurs when one party controls the white house, and another party controls one or more houses of Congress. A unified government should seem to be more productive because enacting laws would be much easier. A bill has to pass through both houses of congress as well as the president before it can be an official law.
The Westminster system of government comprises of a democratically elected lower house. After the executive members the head of government is the prime minister. The next system that falls in place is the opposition which is led by the leader of the party or the parties with the second largest number of seats in the lower house. It follows that in the British system the prime minister and the cabinets are fully in charge of Parliament.
