From the moment a child starts school he or she is told do good in school and go to college. What a child is never told about their search for higher education is that they will experience discrimination in the search for higher education. Manny student in college know about discrimination in college all to well. Students know that there is discrimination in acceptance into college, discrimination in scholarships, and discrimination on campus.

Proposition 209 got rid of affirmative action. With affirmative action no longer at play people presumed discrimination in college admission was gone. Evidence now a days suggest that discrimination in college admission in still going on.
Today in the USA many college are trying to add diversity to their student body. "Depending on your background, colleges may take personal challenges you 've faced into account, and it could give you an advantage when decision time rolls around" and they admit students into their campuses. This taking account of your race is mainly focused on minorities. Those that are not qualified as minorities feel discriminated on. Colleges use race when trying to figure out which students they will take along with other things. With schools in the rush to add diversity many students feel that schools are favoring minorities. Many students feel that in order to add diversity into their campus many schools are willing to overlook less desired GPA 's, ACT, and SAT scores.
