The young woman laughed. Her flaming red hair glowed in the moon. She gazed lovingly into her husband's bright blue eyes. Down by the meadow two girls chased each other down a small hill. They laughed as they shared stories, secrets, and jokes. It was a perfect night, but it was the last night the little girl saw her mother, happy and healthy.
The next day they came, with swords and disease. The soldiers blazing red hair flung wildly in the wind. On their chests, laid a gleaming golden sun. They raided the villages taking riches, crops, and women. The king fought valiantly with his army, but with no avail. And with that the two drew their swords ; battling with the expertise their parents had taught them. Both had tears in their eyes. Out of the blue a small child came bursting from a trap door her father rushing behind.
"Mommy" she wailed " Don't do it you know better" her voice was fearful and earnest. "Selene go" yelled her father "The two parents began to argue; forgetting about the small child that now was being hoisted into the air by the savage.
Out of the blue an ear piercing scream leapt from the Selene's mouth. When her parents' heads turned towards her she was in the hands of the savage
