On February 2, 1959, 9 hikers in the Ural Mountains were brutally murdered, their campsite was completely destroyed, and the leader, Igor Dyatlov, was the result of this event being called, the dyatlov pass incident. There is no real explanation to what happened on that cold dark night on Ural Mountain and this left investigators in the dark with no idea where to turn next, so the case went cold. Books, movies, and videogames were all created with there own theories in mind, but none of these tales could be confirmed. The group of Ural State Technical University graduates thought it was going to be a fun ski trip, but it was far from it. The group contained Igor Alex Seievich Dyatlov,23, Yuri Nikolaieveich Krivon is Chenkokg, 24, Alexander Sergeinmach Kolevatov,25, Zinaida Alenseevna Kolomogoova, 22, Rustom Vlandimrovich Slobodin, 23, Nicolai Vladimironvich Thideay-Brigorres, 24, and Alexander Alekseevich Zolotariov, 28. The goal of the expedition was to reach Otoren, a mountain (6.2miles) north of the sight of the incident, they arrived by train from Ivdel. On January 31 they arrived at the edge of the mountains.
