Should semi-automatic guns be banned? Some people agree and others disagree. The main reason some people believe that they should be banned is because they’re the weapon that’s used in most mass shootings across the US which kills hundreds of people each year. Others disagree on them being banned because we have the rights to own guns and that guns aren’t the problem, people are. Shootings using semi-automatic guns only make up a small percentage of the gun deaths in the US. I believe that these guns should not be banned but that they should do more thorough background checks on people and make it be a lot harder to purchase these guns just incase someone’s intent of purchasing them is to use it as a weapon to kill people.

For the second article, the authors, Joe Sterling and Eric Levenson are credible because they work for CNN and get their information from the primary sources of the shooting which were the victims or people there. The organization, CNN is credible because they are a news source and provide millions of people daily about what’s going on in the world and they always have multiple credible sources before they share their information to make sure its correct.
