Stocking of Hobby Lobby Shelves Hobby Lobby is a prominent arts and crafts store that also sells fabric and home décor items. With over 500 locations nationwide, Hobby Lobby is one of the leading arts and crafts retailers in the country. As a result, Hobby Lobby employees are expected to stock merchandise correctly. In order to stock Hobby Lobby shelves correctly, you must follow these steps: receive the merchandise on truck day, unload the truck, unpack and categorize the merchandise, and finally put the merchandise on the shelves while also putting overstock items on the top cap. These steps are necessary to ensure that merchandise is in the correct location, so a customer can find merchandise easier. The first step in stocking shelves correctly is the unloading of the truck. As a stock man/woman, you are responsible for unloading the truck. Upon arrival of the truck, you will place a wooden pallet in front of the boxes in the truck. You then should take boxes off the truck one by one and stack them on the wooden pallet. Once a pallet has been stacked to the managers liking, you should place a new pallet down and repeat the process until all boxes are removed from the truck.
