When I say the word hunger, what comes into your mind? No food, starving, skinny, and just a need for food. When I say hunger you may think of the children in Africa, Haiti, and maybe the children in Cuba haven’t had a proper balanced diet their whole life! What if I told you that they’re children and adults here in America that are starving? What if I told you that the hungry people have homes, and that the homeless aren’t the only ones lacking on food? It’s real. Are you going to put gas in your car so you can drive the kids to school or are you going to use that money to go grocery shopping, so that the kids will have something to eat? What is more important, having electricity running through the house or food on the table? You just received your paycheck, you have to pay the light bill, gas bill, water bill, and on top of all that there’s barely anything to eat in the house. What comes first? Many parents face this decision, many single parents struggle with that decision. 31% struggle with the decision of whether they’re going to feed the children or pay for drugs. 21% struggle with whether they are going to make their housing payments or feed their family. It’s really hard for a parent not knowing what else to do to be able to feed their children. That’s why you can’t go around judging people, because most of the time people do things for a reason. Not all prostitutes sell themselves because they want to. Just like not every drug dealer do it because they want to, but because they have a family at home that are in need.
