America’s Mistake Just like all sports team there is always that one player you could do without. You wish you could just kick them out, but you have no control of that unless you tell the coach. A different perspective on this would be sending Japanese Americans to internment camps. Japanese Americans though being Americans were never fully accepted as who they are. Japanese Americans were interned during WWII due to the bombing of Pearl Harbor, racism, and as an attempt to protect America’s military secrets.
It is gathered that the bombing of Pearl Harbor stunned the Americans. They never thought they could be hit. This lead to racism in the states, which is what the article mainly mentions. It also showed the military that Japan was the enemy. That idea was spread across the nation. Americans didn’t want Japanese Americans because in their eyes they were the enemy. It is gathered that the main reason is because of racism. After the bombing of Pearl Harbor Americans were racist towards the Japanese whether they were Americans or not. The Japanese Americans living in the states were not even Japanese they were the descendants of their Japanese parents, but born in America. In the United States there are people from everywhere, Japan, Germany, Italy, and multiple more. Despite that only the Japanese people were they once were interned. Through the eyes of the military they can see that the majority of the Japanese population lived on the west coast. Also, on the west coast was America’s military bases. The Japanese Americans would have the opportunity to sell America’s secrets to Japan. This people posed as a direct threat to the military. America did not want to take the chance of Japan finding out what their game plan
