The last summer session I took an online class, and it was an adventures experience because it was the first time I took an online class. I remember that I was nervous to take it. I preferred having class meetings, but I was unfortunately. The class was just available online. I just met the professor the first day of class, and then I would be on my own for the entire summer session. I really was frighten to fail the class because of the lack of online experience I had. I did not knew any of my classmates to ask them for help, nor could I ask anyone to help me with Blackboard. As Ellen Laird said “the reality of online teaching can be confounding and upsetting” (418). My first reason is that online class prevents students to interact face to face with other students. It is harder to get to meet our classmates in a class because we do not know who they are. Secondly, online class does not allow students to begin a friendship. Many times we begin a friendship due to something that bring us together such as a class. Finally, online class cannot enjoy learning directly from the instructor. Professors tend to give good advices to their students, and they also have interesting stories to tell. In conclusion, class base is more interesting because students interact with their classmates, make new friends, and they can learn directly from their instructor. Students can left out these interesting choices when they do not go to an in class base. Students should consider which class they want because online class it is not as interesting if they look for more interaction with
